Rainforest Cafe
• Posted on 3/21/2007 by msroboto    F, 24, NEW YORK, NY.

OH. MY. GOD.   Rainforest Cafe - that disguisting excuse for a restaurant - should be shut down. My boyfriend and I went to Disneyland this weekend (I know, you're jealous) and it was the only somewhat appetizing restaurant at Downtown Disney (ahem, this is why I hate Orange County). So after we somehow sneak past the 2-3 hour wait (we got seated in 7 minutes by some miracle.. or maybe not) we ordered watered down alcoholic drinks followed by 4-day-old shrimp cocktail. We were of course starving so we threw it down the hatch... this was then followed by something that resembled a veggie burger and he tried to scarf down an assortment of fish things - if thats what they were... IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOO ILL. Not only is the decor cheeeeeeeeesy, but the food made us both sick.   Stay far away. If you're hungry, gnaw on one of their many plastic leaves - I'm sure it'll be healthier and taste better than anything on their menu.

Luna Park - LaBrea & Wilshire
• Posted on 3/13/2007 by casperthefriendlydog    F, 25, LOS ANGELES, CA.

Luna Park in LA (on Labrea & Wilshire) is a great restaurant (perfect date spot) - their tuna "poke" with crispy wontons appetizer is amazing. Lots of street parking and its not scene-y at all.     http://www.lunaparkla.com/

Amici Trattoria

I love Amici - it's a cute, small Italian restaurant on Santa Monica & Doheny in West Hollywood. They have another location in Brentwood but that's effing far.     http://www.tamici.com/

Geisha House - Eh...
• Posted on 2/22/2007 by yogateacher1    M, 30, BRENTWOOD, CA.

I went to Geisha House last night with a few friends - it was ok. Not amazing but I'd go back. It's a little cheesy.

Mulberry Street Pizza - Delish!

I think Mulberry Street Pizza is the best in LA.  Very NY style pizza. There are 2 in Beverly Hills and 1 in Encino.Anything else is sub-par.

Wokano - EW
• Posted on 2/18/2007 by etb120    M, 27, WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA.

I eat sushi pretty much every night of the week and last night it was like 11pm on a Saturday... starving. So my friend and I are crusing around LA and end up at Wokano - a Japanese/Sushi restaurant. IT WAS DISGUISTING.Everyone there was Eurotrash. Oh, and the food made us all sick.I'd rather starve late at night than go back. Two thumbs way down.

Random Restaurant by Venice Beach
• Posted on 2/18/2007 by etb120    M, 27, WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA.

so my girlfriend and i went to this random restaurant near venice beach (the street its on is windward, its the last restaurant right before the boardwalk on the south side of the street) and it was the WORST experience ever. not only was there 1 server for the entire fucking restaurant (and an incompetent one at that) but i ordered a veggie burrito and they brought out our food.. 1/2 way through the burrito - i realized there's chicken in it and im a vegetarian. it fucking disguisted me. what if i was actually allergic to chicken? the server felt no remorse but did take it off our check. so not worth it.i will NEVER go back there again. too bad i can't remember the name. but if you go to venice beach and are looking for some eats, stay away from the wooden open-door shackle that claims to be a restaurant.

Lola's = SUCKFEST!
• Posted on 2/11/2007 by Anonymous.

I just went to Lola's on Fairfax & Melrose for dinner/drinks on Friday.. and um... yeah. EW. Never again. Not only was the service embarrassingly bad but the food was beyond sub-par.  At the bar, the bartenders are so focused on their specialty martinis that they neglect every other drink ordered; thus, it takes about 12 minutes to actually get your drink after you order it.Two thumbs way down for Lola's.
