I'm way too cynical for 15 years old
• Posted on 11/26/2007 by the voice in your head    F, 16, CHICAGO, IL.

I'm honestly tired of life. I've had enough. Nothing ever changes, it's just the same thing day after day. What's the point of it all? I mean, why are we here anyways?  Apparently there isn't much time left until the earth implodes of whatever, and I really don't care. I know that sounds extremely suicidal and all, but I just don't. I'm almost glad. Gah. I sound so depressing and emo...and I hate emos. I don't know, I've just been really depressed lately and I need to write about it. I can't put it on my blog or all my depressingly happy friends will freak out and decide I need help. I have no intention of killing myself! Sure, I have issues, but who doesn't? I can take care of them on my own. I don't need anyone fussing over me and worrying and trying to FIX me! If you're reading this, you know who you are and you are seriously one to talk. I'm sorry. We've been over this already and I should drop it. Forget it. I have work to do.

my own island
• Posted on 5/3/2007 by lychee    F, 24, SAN FRANCISCO, CA.

I want to own my own island....And before people can become residents, they have to endure "the test."  Which consists of me looming over them as a shadowy dark figure, and asking them questions for like 32 hours straight....... I just figured that might be fun.

What Happen To America
• Posted on 4/26/2007 by Freshy Fresh    M, 17, COLORADO SPRINGS, CO.

What happened to America? People ask that question all the time. I tell you what happened, we got away from the issues. I'm sittin in class during Black History Month, I ask my teacher "are we going to do something a little special and learn about black leaders who paved the way for black people?" She jumped into another subject so fast she got whiplash. I go to school here at Mesa Ridge, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. a.k.a. the most racist city in the west. I'm originally from Compton, California. I'm down here in Colorado cause of the military. Back to the topic. America has lost its edge. Quite frankly i think that our white government and our white America can't except the fact that our blacks are taking over. In sports, politics, music, television, Hollywood, etc. So as a punishment they make things harder for us blacks. That's gonna change when Obama becomes president. Go buy the T-shirt's (OBAMA OR DIE)!  America is so scared to take action and be bold. I was watchin American Idol Gives Back, and there is 1 child dying every thirty seconds in Africa because they don't have money to pay for a ten cent drug. We sittin over here in America paying bonehead athletes 30, 40, 50, 50, 70, million dollars to put a basketball in a basket, or to run down a field with a football in their hands. Were also payin music producers and artist millions of dollars, to degrade our women, and poision our youths heads, with deceasing music. It's a shame. It's time America co...

Downtown LA
• Posted on 2/22/2007 by SigEpJohn    M, 21, ISLA VISTA, CA.

Downtown LA is really starting to become a hotspot.  I'm definitely into looking more into clubs and restaurants down there.. even though it is a bit of a trek. Also, the new apartment and condo buildings are amazing. I think in the next 20 years its going to be THE place in LA.

The Valley
• Posted on 1/11/2007 by casperthefriendlydog    F, 25, LOS ANGELES, CA.

there's good people in the world and there are bad people in the world.   there's good things in the world and there are bad things in the world.   there's good places in the world and there are bad places in the world.   the san fernando valley is a bad place.   don't argue. i don't want want to hear "but there's always parking" or "there's never any traffic" because i don't care.   not only is it completely in the middle of nowhere with no true redeeming qualities - but the weather is ALWAYS sub-par to that of the city - its either wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too hot or freeeeeeeeeezing (technically it is a valley so that makes sense) - oh, and... lets not forget to mention that from the city it takes about oh, and hour to get there. why do i know this? because the parental unit has decided to make a my-child-graduated-from-high-school-so-i-can-leave-the-glorious-city-now move a few years ago and i have to make the trek to visit.   in defense of the father, it is cheaper and the houses there are bigger and our dog has more room to run. but he's an inside dog so that shouldn't even matter.   dad - if you're reading this, please come back. the valley is no place for people i love.   THE VALLEY: its not fun. its not pretty. its just not good.   i have anger in my heart for the valley. fiery, hot, anger.   i hate the valley.
